Today is a first for me. My presentation was translated in Bulgarian as the Università LAquila was visited by a delegation from Malko Tarnovo municipality including the deputy mayor, director of Culture, Sport and Education and the Tourism Directorate. The group of about 15 Bulgarians were interested in the disaster recovery programs developed by the LBTC after the Hurricanes of 2005 and 2008 and now the gulf oil spill. Professor Mori was presenting on the Economic Impact of the tourism industry and I spoke on the impact of disasters on the tourism industry in Louisiana.
Tomorrow I am scheduled to meet with the Administration of the Università to discuss sustainable business incubators and strategies to assist startup businesses. Professors Orio, Tozzi, Sotgiu, Alecci (director of technology transfer) will be attending.
